That seems like such a petty move to make. Mediacom's solution seemed to be to tell people to stop using their upload even if they hadn't gone over their cap instead of trying to resolve the issue by upgrading hardware. Upload speed seems to be a huge problem lately with Mediacom. For $140 dollars a month, I expect my internet to be flawless in that case but let me tell you that it's not. Mediacom also seems out of loop since their competitors are offering internet service for ~$60 dollars and it's fiber. Every once in a while they will give me like $120 instead of $140 for a year but then when the promotion runs out, I'm stuck at $140 till another one pops up. It seems like a terrible practice not to reward customers that have been using the service for quite a while. I believe this is $79.99 for 1 gig connection that goes up every year after that but if you've been with Mediacom for 8 years then you have to hope that Mediacom is running some sort of special to get a discount. If you are a new customer, you get a good discounted rate to join. Some things at Mediacom just don't make sense. This frustration has grown quite a bit since the pandemic started. I've honestly been very disappointed in Mediacom lately.
