One of those regular volunteers is Violet Dalla Vecchia, 77, of Allen Park, who has been a Fisher usher since the early 1970s. The Fisher needs about 80 ushers per show, so staff draws from a pool of 1,700 volunteers and sometimes recruits from local high schools for certain shows. The Fisher Theatre, home to Broadway in Detroit, has a long waiting list for those wanting to be ushers. “That being said, we often need additional ushers, and those interested are welcome to apply.”

His Alter Ego was 'Wolfgang Champagne', a very stylish, very tiny werewolf who was bitten by a chihuahua 500 years ago. Lord was chosen over thousands of contestants to compete in Fox Television's new singing competition show 'Alter Ego' (airing on Wednesday nights after 'The Masked Singer') where contestants compete anonymously as an avatar alter ego, singing for judges Nick Lachey, Alanis Morissette, Will.I.Am, and Grimes. Lord is the creator and writer of The 3 Redneck Tenors.

He is also a proud graduate of the prestigious Juilliard Opera Center.

Lord’s concert appearances include engagements with the Detroit Symphony, the Juilliard Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony and Santa Fe Symphony to name a few. Lord also performed in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Phantom of the Opera as Piangi in the Hamburg Germany production. He made his New York Metropolitan Opera debut in January 2004 in Boris Godunov.
